History

Chris Herzog has been producing professional voiceover work since before 1996. That year he graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri with a BA in Public Relations. He worked for the college radio station and soon discovered his passion for voice work. After college he rent to work for WDAF-TV in Kansas City where he honed his skills before moving to his first on-air gig at KFDX-TV, the NBC affiliate in Wichita Falls, Texas.

In Texas, where it was often 120-degrees in the shade, he perfected his craft as an general assignments and investigative reporter before making the leap to Springfield, Missouri at the CBS station KOLR-10. In Missouri he expanded his crime reporting and increased his investigative skills while adding anchoring weekend evening newscasts to his many talents. This led to more voiceover work for image, sweeps, and daily topical promotions for the various CBS and FOX newscasts.

From Missouri Chris moved to the NBC affiliate station in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to continue this reporting and anchoring duties. At WEAU-TV Chris took on main anchor duties for the NBC and FOX stations, while also managing daily content and execution as managing editor for the station’s news operations. As a main anchor, Chris performed many sweeps and image voiceover productions as well as numerous daily topical voiceover promotions.

In 2014 Chris Herzog retired from television news to focus full time on he and his wife’s new digital advertising agency, STOKES|HERZOG Marketing and Consulting, where he continues to perform commercial voiceover work professionally for internal and external clients in a wide range of industries across the United States.
